The Spectrum Control IMA Difference

Custom RF and microwave integration built around your system’s performance, control, and packaging requirements.

Vertically integrated design and manufacturing

By using our own filter, amplifier, and mixer technology, we maintain tight control over critical performance parameters for exceptional amplitude and gain flatness.

Amplitude and phase matching

Amplitude and phase matching are critical elements of our up/down converter designs, especially valuable in direction-finding applications.

RF input protection

RF input protection is commonly employed using limiting circuits composed of high-barrier diodes for either moderate- or high-power interferers.

Temperature compensation

Active and passive temperature compensation is an integral part of our designs to support rugged military environments.

Digital integration

We commonly integrate digital functionality into our IMAs to enable software-based control (band selection, signal routing, tuning), monitoring, and easy integration into the larger system.

Variable gain control

Using an analog or digital control voltage, these designs are offered with a wide variety of interfaces to support management of both gain and signal strength.

Overdrive protection

Reverse and overdrive protection, plus DC power conditioning, are used to maintain adequate supply power isolation.

Products and Capabilities

Custom RF and microwave assemblies built around your system requirements.

Spectrum Control has been a leading provider of integrated microwave assemblies for more than 40 years. Today we are continuing that leadership by employing new technologies that increase performance, shrink footprints, reduce integration complexity and improve manufacturability.

At the heart of our new IMA capabilities is an embedded digital gateway that can be deployed as a common building block in the design and/or as part of the test infrastructure for digitization.

Examples of custom integrated microwave assemblies we have developed for customers include:

Let's talk about your requirements

Bring us your performance targets, integration challenges, and packaging constraints.

We have a long history of designing and building custom microwave assemblies to meet the exacting needs of our customers. We can apply our component knowledge with our vast IMA experience and apply new design and manufacturing methodologies to meet your SWaP-C requirements.

This process starts with understanding the problems you are trying to address, whether it is signal acquisition and conditioning or how to adapt a multi-function block to a new form factor or environmental challenge.
