26.5 GHz Negative Slope Equalizers

Broadband Amplitude Equalization - Precision, Stability, and Durability from 5 GHz to 26.5 GHz.

The EQ3007-XX Series Gain Equalizers deliver precise broadband amplitude correction across 5 to 26.5 GHz, providing stable system performance and improved signal fidelity in high-frequency microwave and RF applications. Designed with fixed negative slope equalization, these components compensate for frequency-dependent losses in amplifiers, cables, and transmission paths, ensuring flat gain response and enhanced overall linearity.

Built with rugged, RoHS-compliant stainless-steel housings and gold-plated beryllium copper conductors, the EQ3007-XX series offers superior mechanical durability, thermal stability, and long-term reliability in demanding environments. Available in 10 dB, 15 dB, and 20 dB delta slopes, they provide flexible performance options tailored to system-level equalization requirements.

With a maximum insertion loss of only 2.5 dB at 18 GHz, excellent VSWR of 1.8:1, and wide operating temperature range from -54°C to +125°C, the EQ3007-XX enables consistent performance from laboratory to field environments.

How it Works

As cable attenuation increases with frequency, the EQ3007 introduces a complementary negative slope attenuation profile that offsets cable loss. The combined response produces more consistent signal levels across the operating band, helping maintain system performance through 26.5 GHz.

Why it Matters

Cable losses become increasingly significant at higher microwave frequencies, where even small variations can affect overall system performance. The EQ3007 provides passive cable loss compensation to improve gain flatness and preserve signal integrity in demanding high-frequency applications.

Understanding the Response

  • Cable Loss: Attenuation increases with frequency across the operating band.
  • Negative Slope Equalizer: Complementary attenuation offsets cable-induced signal loss.
  • Equalized Response: Combined response delivers improved gain flatness and amplitude consistency through 26.5 GHz.
