The DC SMARTStart® -48 or +24/+28 VDC Solid State Switched power distribution unit with circuit protection reliably cycles power to connected DC electronic devices. The DC SMARTStart uses specialized electronic switchable solid state breakers with remote power cycling. It is ideal for applications such as: autonomous vessels and “swarm” boats, command post platforms, CLECs, ILECs, XDSL applications/CATV enterprises, and blade servers.
Network operators can power cycle or auto reset all 12 solid state breakers as well as the 2 ROCB mains breakers, either manually by front panel push buttons or remotely with RS-232 serial console port 10/100 BASE-T or LAN TCP/IP socket or telnet session. The DC SMARTStart PDU features a visual basic (VB) Interface to program the power up/down sequence and power up/down delays for each channel, along with the LVD and OVD thresholds.
The DC SMARTStart is used in unmanned or autonomous boats to power all of the mission specific electronics on the boat. The DC SMARTStart enables the mission operator to power up and power down devices when needed, conserving battery life on the vessel. Remote management of the DC SMARTStart gives the operator the ability to reboot connected devices by cycling power.
—Military Application for U.S. Office of Naval Research (ONR)
The DC SMARTStart Solid State Switched PDU with power monitoring provide reliable remote-managed power to the Military, Oil & Gas, Medical, Industrial, Communications, and Telco industries, as well as data centers throughout the world.
