Deep Space
Supporting deep space exploration demands suppliers who can deliver products that can survive the harshest conditions and perform at a high level for decades.
Our space-qualified RF components are designed and manufactured to operated in the harsh and conditions found in the vast reaches of space. We offer radiation-hardened and radiation-tolerant components and subsystems for these mission-critical applications. Our customers have relied on our products to support multi-year deep space missions.
New Space
Spectrum Control designs and manufactures standard and build-to-print RF, microwave and mmW solutions for mega constellations, satellite communications, small satellites, and Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellite networks.
Our company has integration and assembly expertise. We can certify standard catalogue components, hybrids, and subsystems to multi-role applications for these satellite constellations utilizing in-house testing and qualification. We are making proud contributions to key programs such as the Space Development Agency’s LEO Tranche 1 Transport Layer, and JADC2.
Launch and Re-entry
Space programs are multi-dimensional with a variety of platforms for different parts of the mission. These include launch vehicles, landing craft, and re-entry. Spectrum Control provides RF & microwave signal processing & conditioning solutions and EMI protection products to enable mission success. These secure, rugged, SWaP-optimized are used in communications, navigation, sensors, and more..
For example we played a key role in NASA’s Perseverance rover mission, where our amplifiers enabled the landing navigation systems to handle the shortest, most intense landing phase of the Mars exploration mission. Known as the "seven minutes of terror," this is where the Terrain Relative Navigation enables Percy to find a safe and secure spot to land.
